Hans Norén, born 1957, is the President of Concordia Maritime AB. He joined the Company in April 1995. Since graduation from the University of Gothenburg (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) in 1982, and before joining Concordia, he worked for major Swedish shipping companies in the area of finance and accounting, both in Sweden and abroad.
During the years 1982-1984 he worked for Broström Shipping Company in Gothenburg. In 1984 he left Broströms to take up a position as Group Controller in the Swedish shipping company Transatlantic.
In 1986 he relocated to San Francisco and was the Chief Financial Officer of a subsidiary of Transatlantic until 1989, when he returned to Sweden. Between 1989 and 1995 he held the position as Chief Financial Officer of the Swedish Transmark group, primarily involved in international bulk and gas shipping and real estate.He joined Concordia in 1995 as Financial Manager. From 1997 to July 2001 he was located in New York as Chief Financial Officer of Universe Tankships
